I am a Registered Nurse and recently retired Senior Lecturer from
The University of Liverpool.
I did my nurse training in the 1980s & moved to teaching in 2005.
I have had many roles in my nursing career and have loved it all. I have had my share of stressful situations, BUT I have had many more good experiences than bad in my nursing career!
I will tell you more about me on the inside, but in brief... I experienced a significant bereavement in January 2020 and my life changed forever.

We are not good at self-care as healthcare professionals are we? During my healing / self-development journey I realised that the tools I used to navigate grief were also helpful in managing the often tricky transition from student to professional...
So...building on this, in 2023, I set up Mary's Place® CIC, a non-profit organisation to support newly qualified professionals. We offer face to face well-being sessions, retreat days and online 1:1 coaching.
We also work with organisations to support preceptorship programmes- but this community is for YOU... the Newly Qualified Professional.
