About Mary's Place® CIC

Mary’s Place® was founded in 2023 by Julie Bilboe-Crane, a nurse, educator, and coach with over 35 years’ experience in healthcare and higher education.

The work is shaped by both professional experience and a deep understanding of the challenges that come with transition, particularly in the early stages of a healthcare career.

Mary’s Place® was created to offer something different: a space that is reflective, supportive, grounded in the realities of practice, and underpinned by research.

Further support is provided by Dr. Victoria Wilson-Crane, an Educational Innovator and a passionate supporter of Mary's Place®.

Work with us

We work with healthcare organisations to support newly qualified professionals through the transition into practice.

Our sessions can be delivered as part of preceptorship programmes or as standalone wellbeing and reflection days.

We provide a structured space for staff to pause, reflect, and make sense of their experience, supporting both wellbeing and professional confidence.

We work closely with each organisation to understand their context and tailor our approach to their staff and setting.

Rather than adding more pressure or expectation, our focus is on helping individuals make sense of their experience, reconnect with what matters, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

We’re always happy to have an initial

conversation to explore what might be helpful.

"Having the support of Mary's Place has been a game-changer for our preceptorship programme"
